I’M MELISSA!

Her Golden Point began as way to share the love I feel for this beautiful, vibrant, and colourful city of ours. Ballarat has always been my heart’s home. I lived here when I was very young, and although I spent many of my years growing up away from here, I always felt destined to return.

Photography was a wonderful medium for exploring the extraordinary details of our city, its architecture, and its stunning environment. However, it was really the people of Ballarat, or rather the women here, which really captured my attention.

There is an incredible number of Ballarat women asserting themselves in all areas of endeavour, small business, health and well-being, and the arts, just to name a few. In each of these fields I found women who were open, welcoming, and ready to support me, so much so, that I felt overwhelmingly encouraged to give back through my passion for photography.

Photographing women through Her Golden Point, has enabled me to better understand myself, and to develop a deeper empathy with each of my client’s beautiful journeys. It is this that helps me to find the individual inner glow of each of the women I photograph.

Her Golden Point is more than just a photography business, it is a space where women are encouraged to express their innate character, in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

We aim to ensure that each of our clients receive, not just a gallery of beautiful images, but more importantly, an experience that leaves them feeling more confident in themselves.
